Mo Mo’s all better :)
Well , it has been a very stressful and worrying few weeks as Mo Mo decided to do a Houdini while getting into the car and was knocked down in the road outside our home .
I will be hearing the noise in my sleep for years to come
After 2 weeks of tests and worry i am thrilled to say that she has made a full and frankly quite miraculous recovery and has no major injuries at all
She is completely back to her old self and has spent the weekend playing with kitsi and having a whale of a time !
I can’t even begin to explain how wonderful it is to see her back to her old self

Stamford, what a great name

Mo’s fine now and back to her beautiful self… we’re just about to take some more vids of Mo Mo and Kitsi tearing around the garden, with Kit’s biting lumps out of Mo’s bum
Oh, you’re going to have some great times with the new puppy, good luck

Hi, I just wanted to get your experience on how the introduction of the new puppy affected the older one. My wife and I just got a new pup who is a younger sister of our older TT by 1-1/2 years. The older one is a but dejected and jealous. They play and then the moodiness settles in. We cant even tell which on is the alpha since the young pup really is a trooper and stands up for she self, stealing toys and chases the older one around barking….. Did you have something like this or did they both become fast friends immediately.
Thanks,
Y

Hi Yugon
we had and still have the occasional full blown fight..
I think like everything, it’s usually our fault and not the dogs, if we give Kitsi some attention, Mo will take it out on her with extreme prejudice
dogs like to be in the pack and although Kitsi sometimes has a go at Mo’s leadership, she knows where she stands in the pecking order
make the biggest fuss of your first dog, greet her first, make sure you feed her first (but after you’ve eaten) and only fuss the pup when the other dogs not around and see if that makes a difference
we found that all the puppy biting we got off Mo when she was little didn’t happen with Kitsi (she just bites Mo
they do play rough, but unless they’re actually biting chunks, you’ve got to kind of let them find they’re own level
Funny thing is Kitsi needs Mo more than she needs us
good luck and let me know how you get on (send some pics, we’d love to see them
cheers

Hi Gary, Thanks for the reply! Its so good to hear that your two are such good friends with time of discord. It gives us hope. I’ve been watching your videos and they seem like such good friends. Is it like that in the home as well? Our older one, Wiley, was super depressed when our new little one(Momo as well!) was introduced. 6 days later, things are better but we are concerned and not sure how to deal with toys and affection.Do you feel as bonded with the little pup as the older one? Do you notice any issue with the fact that Kitsi is more bonded with Momo than you guys? Is it clear if Kitsi or Momo is the alpha? Does Momo allow Kitsi to get away with things, taking toys and chasing her? We are trying to figure out if the older one is the alpha or the new little pup is. Sorry to bombard you questions. Definitely we can send pics… where should I send them? Talk soon! Y
